Why can’t guests book my property on a booking channel?

What to check if your listing is live but guests cannot book some or all dates.

When to use this guidance

Use this article when your property is live and visible on a booking channel, but guests cannot book the dates they want.

If the listing itself is missing or no longer live, see Why can’t I find my property on a booking channel?.

What should I check if guests cannot book?

If you manage multiple properties, make sure you select the correct property before reviewing its calendar, pricing or booking settings.

1. Check the dates in your Travelnest calendar

Dates may be unavailable because they are:

  • Covered by an existing booking.
  • Manually blocked.
  • Blocked by a calendar connected to Travelnest.

You can unblock manually blocked dates on the Travelnest website or in the mobile app.

If the dates are blocked by a connected external calendar, update them in the original calendar so the change can sync to Travelnest.

For instructions, see How do I block or unblock dates on my calendar?.

2. Check that pricing covers the requested stay

Dates that appear open in your calendar also need pricing that covers the stay.

Manual Pricing

  • Check that your pricing periods cover all the dates being searched.
  • Make sure a nightly rate is present for each day.
  • Look for gaps between pricing periods, which can prevent a stay from being booked even when dates appear open in the calendar.

For instructions, see How to add and amend manual pricing.

Smart Pricing

Review the property’s pricing and default booking settings under Pricing and fees.

For instructions, see How to enable and optimise Smart Pricing.

3. Check that the guest’s search meets your booking settings

Review the settings that apply to the requested dates:

  • Minimum stay.
  • Allowed check-in days.
  • Booking notice.
  • Maximum number of guests.

For example, a two-night stay cannot be booked where the minimum stay is three nights.

4. Record the dates and channel if the issue remains

If the listing is live, the dates are open, pricing covers the stay and the search meets your booking settings, these standard checks do not explain the issue.

Keep the exact check-in and check-out dates and the affected booking channel available for further investigation. These details help identify whether another availability condition applies.
