Why can’t guests book my property on a booking channel?

What to check if your listing is live but cannot be booked

Use this guidance when your property is live and visible on a booking channel, but guests cannot book it for some or all dates.

If the listing itself is missing or no longer live, see Why can’t I find my property on a booking channel?

Dates unavailable in the Travelnest calendar

If the dates are unavailable in your Travelnest calendar, they may already be:

  • Covered by an existing booking
  • Manually blocked
  • Blocked by a calendar connected to Travelnest

Manually blocked dates can be made available again from the web version of your Travelnest account.

If the dates come from a connected external calendar, update them in the original calendar so the change can sync back to Travelnest.

See How do I block or unblock dates on my calendar?

Dates open in Travelnest but not bookable

Dates that appear open in your Travelnest calendar also need pricing and booking settings that allow the requested stay.

Pricing

If you use manual pricing, a pricing period must cover the exact dates being searched and a rate must be present for each day.

A gap between manual pricing periods can leave dates unavailable to book even when they appear open in the calendar.

See How to add and amend manual pricing.

If you use Smart Pricing, your current pricing and availability settings are under Pricing and discounts.

Booking settings

A guest’s search must also meet the settings that apply to those dates, including:

  • Minimum stay
  • Allowed arrival days
  • Booking notice
  • Maximum guest numbers

For example, a two-night search will not be bookable where the minimum stay is three nights.

Dates still unavailable when the standard settings are correct

If the listing is live, the dates are open in Travelnest, pricing covers the dates and the booking settings allow the stay, those standard settings do not explain why the dates are unavailable.

The exact stay dates and affected booking channel help identify whether another supported availability condition applies.

Is your listing missing completely?

This article is for a property that is live and visible but cannot be booked.

If the listing itself is missing or no longer shows as live, see Why can’t I find my property on a booking channel?

If your property has never gone live before, see Why isn’t my new property live yet?
