Going live checklist

Everything you need to do before your property goes live.

Getting ready to welcome guests

Congratulations! Your property is nearly ready to start taking bookings.

Before you go live, take a few minutes to work through this checklist. Reviewing your calendar, pricing and property settings can help you avoid double bookings, unexpected bookings and cancellation fees later.

If you manage multiple properties, make sure you complete the checks for each property before it goes live.

What should I check before going live?

1. Download the Travelnest app

Download the app so you can manage your property and keep track of bookings wherever you are. You can view bookings, check your calendar and manage your property directly from the app.

2. Sync your calendar

If your property is advertised elsewhere, connect your calendars before going live. Missing or outdated availability can lead to double bookings.

For instructions, see Connecting your calendar.

3. Set your minimum stay

Choose the shortest booking you are willing to accept. If your minimum stay is too low, you may receive bookings that do not suit your property or hosting plans.

For instructions, see Setting a minimum stay.

4. Review your pricing

  • Review your nightly rates and any discounts.
  • Add a separate cleaning fee if you have not already. We recommend one for every property.
  • Make sure you are happy with the total price guests will pay and your earnings after applicable commission.

For more information, see Managing your pricing.

5. Check your booking notice

Choose how much notice you need before guests can check in. Allow enough time to prepare your property before a new stay.

For more information, see Managing booking notice.

6. Review and pause duplicate listings

If you already list your property directly on Airbnb, Booking.com or another booking site, check which existing listings need to be snoozed or deactivated before your Travelnest listings go live.

Do not assume that connecting calendars alone resolves duplicate listings. Follow the guidance for managing your existing listings.

For instructions, see Managing existing listings.

7. Understand how bookings work

Travelnest uses Instant Book, which means guests can book available dates immediately. Make sure your calendar, pricing and settings are correct before your property goes live.

For more information, see How bookings work.

8. Understand the cancellation policy

Cancelling confirmed bookings can result in cancellation fees. Reviewing your calendar and property settings before going live can help prevent avoidable cancellations.

For more information, see Host cancellation policy..

9. Know where to get help

Your Property Expert will contact you after you go live to help you get the most from your listing.

For help with a booking or an urgent issue, contact Host Support.

For contact guidance, see How to contact us.

10. Add your payment details

Add your payment details before going live so you are ready to receive payouts.

For instructions, see How to add or update your payment details.

You are ready to go

Once you have completed the checklist, you are ready for the next step. We will email you when your property is live, and your Property Expert will be in touch to introduce themselves and help you get the most from your listing.

We look forward to helping you welcome your first booking.
