Booking statuses

Learn what each booking status means, including why a booking may show as processing and what happens next.

Understanding booking statuses

Each booking in your Travelnest account has a status that shows where it is in the booking process. This guide explains what each booking status means (it does not apply to listing statuses).

Booked

This means the booking is fully confirmed and will go ahead as planned.

  • Payment has been successfully collected
  • The booking is secure and the dates are reserved for your guest
  • No further action is needed from you

Processing

This means a guest has requested a booking, but payment has not yet been successfully collected.

This can happen if:
  • The guest’s payment method fails or needs verification
  • The booking channel is retrying payment
  • Additional security or payment checks are in progress
What happens next:
  • We will keep trying to collect payment automatically
  • If payment cannot be collected, the booking will be cancelled
  • Timings vary by booking channel, but this usually happens within 48–72 hours
You do not need to take any action while a booking is in processing.

Cancelled

This means the booking will not go ahead.

A booking can be cancelled if:

  • The guest cancels
  • The host cancels
  • Payment cannot be collected while the booking is in processing

Cancelled bookings will still appear in your account for your records.
